Textile and clothing

The textile industry is a manufacturing activity which produces and works textile fibres. In Italy it developed above all in the north and around the city of Prato in Tuscany, but, in recent years, some Asiatic countries have strengthened their production becoming dangerous competitors for the Italian industry. The excellent Italian textiles, like the constructors of machinery and plants, remain however, an important reality in Italian industry.
